In the summer of 1969, I lived in a house on the hill behind Bokoshe High School. That summer I watched the first man walk on the moon on our old fuzzy black and white TV set. I was to be a senior at Bokoshe the following year. Not knowing that I would spend most of my working life here at Kennedy Space Center working in the space program. I got my first taste of engineering during my drafting classes with Mr. Statham there in that old rock building. And I actually did a rough civil drawing of the location for the new building that was to be built. (I believe that is the current facility)... You just never know... Once a Tiger always a Tiger. Sometimes I really miss Leflore County.
